Where the Magic Happens Part 1

Why is it important?

An important part of our new culture is to provide a safe and inclusive environment where people enjoy coming to work. ‘Psychological safety’ is essential for this environment. What do psychological safety and psychological capital mean, how do they contribute to your team’s high performance, and how can you as a leader create an environment where people feel safe and thrive?

What will I learn?

  • Importance of psychological safety and psychological capital when leading yourself and your team towards high performance
  • The influence of brain, mindset, experiences and beliefs on how we perceive ourselves and others.
  • Learn the difference between 'helping' and 'hindering' beliefs
  • Develop personal strategies to become more effective in dealing with a lack of safety and certainty

Where the Magic Happens Part 2

Why is it important?

Part 2 continues to explore the topic of psychological safety, delving deeper into the evidence that it boosts team effectiveness. It aims to help you learn how to use this knowledge with concrete actions.

What will I learn?

  • Learn to create a safe work environment for your team
  • Manage situations where people do not feel safe
  • Create an environment where people feel highly motivated to contribute.
  • Discover tools to develop your communication skills and build a better understanding of what your team needs

Me, Myself & I

Why is it important?

To be a successful leader, there is one person you need to know better than anyone – yourself. Our ego is a powerful construct, so the more we understand about our behavioural patterns, emotions and potential ‘blind spots’, the better we can adjust to the needs of others and lead with empathy.

What will I learn?

  • Become more aware of your behavioural patterns and emotions
  • Discover your 'blind spots'
  • Work towards understanding your underlying (obstructive) belief system
  • How to adapt to a more courageous, helpful belief system
  • How to shape your behaviour and emotions to the needs of your audiences
  • Give you more impact in challenging situations and increasing your empathy and influence

How can you overcome resistance and bring your team with you, with strong morale, loyalty and commitment?

What will I learn?

  • Understand the importance of emotional intelligence in change management, the factors that make people resistant to change, and tools to boost your listening and communication skills when facilitating change strategies.
